JENN BURKHARDT

is a NYC based lighting designer and is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts' MFA Design for Stage & Film program. Jenn has a passion for new and highly collaborative works that are thought provoking, widen a community’s perspective, and nurture the artists who create those stories. Most recent credits include: Lighting Designer for "Self Defined Circuits” with Fresh Squeezed Opera Company at HERE Arts Center; ”The Net Will Appear” by Erin Mallon, at 59E59; “A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream” for Meisner Studios at NYU Tisch; "Tomorrow Will Take Care of Itself" by Stefanie Zadravec for NYU Tisch Design for Stage & Film; “Scum” a new play by Sarah Shear; “Knot An Opera” with Fresh Squeezed Opera Company.; Lighting Consultant for “Slava’s Snowshow Broadway” at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre; Assistant Lighting Designer for “The Vagrant Trilogy” (2020) at The Public Theater; and “Only Human” at St. Clement’s; On top of Jenn’s lighting design career, she is a freelance Studio Artist in Creative Visual Merchandising at Tiffany & Co. Jenn was also a 2nd Assistant Lighting Designer for LA Opera and an IATSE 504 Stage Technician for The Walt Disney Company before starting grad school in 2016.
